Paw-some News: Cash Club Accounts Yield $3,760 for Animal Shelters!
Cash Club isn’t just about Cash the Savings Dog and Penny the Cat. It’s also about helping some other very special dogs and cats: homeless pets in our communities. When we started Cash Club in July of last year, we made a promise to donate $5.00 to an animal shelter for each Cash Club account opened, up to a total of $3,000 each year. We were thrilled when 752 children took us up on our offer and opened Cash Club accounts from July to December 2017. Although this number brings our donation to well over $3,000, we decided, what the heck - it’s our first year and we’re excited to help animals! Earlier this year, we presented checks totaling $3,760 to shelters in Cowlitz, Columbia, Clatsop, Lincoln, and Tillamook Counties.
These donations will be used to supply cat and dog beds and help cover the costs of spaying and neutering the animals. We plan to continue this developing partnership with animal shelters and encourage community involvement within membership areas. Thanks to each new Cash Club member for making this possible! |
